Yet another odd plug
This one was manufactured recently. Marking states 20A 125V. Pictured here with a 20A Hubbell outlet for reference.

Obviously wrong, since it would suggest the ground pin be on top...

Interesting - a 20A plug that won't fit into a 20A outlet. It looks like it will only fit a 15/20A T-slot one. /mike

The problem is that while it will plug in to a US standard 5-20R, it will not plug into a Canadian standard 5-20R, which lacks the T slot, nor will it plug into a 5-15R.
The Canadian outlets are configured for 15A only, or 20A only, and not dual purpose 15/20A.

Just to make correction on Canadian outlets our 5-20r is a dual purpose outlet you can use 15 amp plug or a 20 amp T-lock also used in kitchens 20 amp GFI receptacle is allowed in stead of split receptacle cct. solves the problem of being too close to the sink 1.5 meters or 5 feet or less from the sink must be GFI protected
